In the mid-'60s, I was Chief Engineer, Australian Projects, for the Hawker Siddeley Group in South Australia. In the wake of the cancellation of the Blue Streak I.C.B.M. Project, I was charged with the responsibility of securing a share of local Defence Projects. I devised a successful method of estimating and controlling R&D and Production Contracts, which, with the co-operation of the Regional Engineer of the Department of Supply and his Staff, facilitated the performance of several defence contracts, on budget and on time. This method is equally applicable today, and the several stages of the process are detailed on this web-site.
I recommend this method of publication, for its low cost, ease of distribution, and saving of paper.
